 Green Beans and Potato Recipe/ Hariyo simi ra alu ko tarkari

Preparation: 10 min  › Boiling time: 10 min  › Ready in: 1 hour  Serves 4

 

 

Ingredients:

500 grams   Green beans snapped to 2 inch length                  

2x medium Potatos peeled and diced                                

1 x medium Tomato chopped                                               

10 x Fenugreek seeds                                       

1 teaspoon Coriander Powder

1 teaspoon Cumin Powder                               

4 cloves Garlic grated                                                           

1 small piece Ginger grounded                                                                                      

1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder                                                 

Salt                                                                        

2 tablespoon Cooking Oil                                                                                   

 

 

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pot on high. Add fenugreek seeds and wait until the seeds start to pop and turn black. It takes 2 minutes.

  2. Add the potato and fry for about 2 minutes. Turn the heat to medium.

  3. Add the ginger, garlic, turmeric and salt and stir.

  4. Add the snap cut and cleaned green beans and the tomatoes.

  5. Sprinkle the coriander cumin powder and cook 4 minutes.

  6. Move the whole pot into the EasyOven and let it stand there for 1 hour.

  7. The dish is ready to be served.

Tarkari - Vegetable curry
Preparation: 10 min › Boiling time: 10 min ›Ready in: 1 hour
Serves 3-4


Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoon Oil

  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

  • 1 Tablespoon Coriander Powder

  • 2 teaspoon Cumin Powder

  • 4 pods Garlic crushed

  • 1 inch Ginger grated

  • 3 medium Potato peeled and cubed

  • 1 large Onion finely chopped

  • 1 large Tomato chopped

  • 1/2 medium Pumpkin cut into large cubes

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 cup Water

 

Method
1. Heat oil in a pot. Add onion, garlic and ginger and cook until it
browns.
2. Add tomato, turmeric,, salt , coriander, cumin to the mix and cook
for 1 minute.
3. Add potatoes, pumpkin and water stir until all ingredients are
mixed together.
4. Bring to boil and boil for 10 minutes.
5. Remove from heat and place entire pot into the EasyOven™ and
close.

Tip:
Seasonal vegetables are perfect for this dish such as
carrots, spinach, cauliflower, squash and eggplant.
To add a little spice you may like to add 1 x chilli
chopped thinly or 1 teaspoon Masala when adding the
rest of the spices.
Garnish with chopped coriander. Best served with rice
