Paella

 

Boiling time: 10 minutes  Cooking time in the EasyOven™: 1½  hours.  Serves 4

 

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1 tomato chopped (Optional)

  • 1 chorizo sausage, diced (Optional)

  • 2 chicken breast fillets, diced (Optional)

  • 1 cup uncooked white rice

  • 2½ cups water

  • ½ cup white wine

  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric

  • 500grams Fresh mixed seafood (fish, prawns, mussels, squid etc.)

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • Lemon wedges to garnish

 

Directions

  • Heat the cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat.

  • Add the turmeric, onion and garlic. Fry until the onion begins to brown.

  • Add diced Chicken and brown.

  • Add sausage, rice, tomato, seafood mix, water and white wine to pot.

  • Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes with lid on. Stirring occasionally.

  • Remove from heat and place entire pot in to the EasyOven for 1½ hours.

 

 

Garnished with lemon wedges. Serve with crusty bread.
