EasyOven™ Cultures: Australia

If you are currently living in Australia this Summer the last thing on your mind is spending hours in the kitchen with the oven on full blast. I love cooking as much of the next person but if there is a recipe or a tip to beat the heat then I'm all ears!

During the holidays our family is always busy........ busy in the pool, busy with friends, busy at the beach........... but one things for certain they are also always hungry:)

I have compiled a really simple, fail-safe recipe that will make sure you spend as little time as possible near a hot plate but is also delicious and hearty. Served at a BBQ or with cold meats , this is one of my staples and it fills up my hungry family!


Preparation: 10 minutes > Boiling Time: 3-5 minutes > Ready in: 40 minutes Serves 3-4


1 Cup Quinoa

2 Cups Boiling Water

1/2 Capsicum, diced

1/2 Onion, diced

1/2 Chili, diced

1 Carrot, diced

1 Tomato, diced

1 Cucumber, diced

50g Walnuts, roughly chopped

1 cup Fresh Spinach, washed

100g Feta Cheese

Bunch of Watercress to dress


3 Tbsp Olive Oil

1 Tbsp White Wine Vinegar

Pinch of Salt

Crack of Pepper


1. Place the Quinoa and boiling water into a pot and boil for 3-5 minutes.

2. Take the pot off and put into the EasyOven for 40 minutes.

3. Place the cooked Quinoa into a serving bowl and mix in the capsicum, onion, chili, carrot, walnuts, cucumber, spinach and feta cheese.

4. Add the dressing and watercress for serving.

5. Enjoy!
